In Apollo Hospital

The wailing of the siren is ominous and can be heard from afar,as the ambulance rushes in the patient to the hospital. The blood soaked patient involved in an accident hanging to the last strand of life, is quickly unloaded and rushed into the emergency ward.It is then you realize how frail life can be.
The morning meditation at 9.30am at the Apollo Speciality Hospital in Chennai, begins with a multi- lingual prayer song and ends with a few minutes in silence. In those few minutes one can feel the presence of God as the prayers going up from the kith & kin of the patients who are swinging between life & death .
It is then you know that God is responding in the form of doctors. The hoarding put up inside the hospital says it all……….
Everyday God speaks through Doctors in answer to fervent prayers………….
Since it is a speciality hospital most of the cases were serious cases, and the visiting hours were limited. The procedure to see the patient who were in the Critical Care Unit was tough. So the patients relatives, sat in the waiting Hall, chatting, drinking coffee from a conveniently placed stall, waiting in case they were called if the patient deteriorated, as their loved ones battled for life.
Life must go on…………………………
