i always have apprehensions of books written by Indian
authors.Since what they describe are so close to our lives, that there is no difference or element of surprise....
But this collection of short stories.. is really good.....
The other book I am reading is a bookcalled SHANTARAM..
no not about the famous film maker.
This is about a escaped convict from New Zealand, who lands up in Mumbai ,learns Marathi & Hindi ,gets involved in the underbelly of life in
Mumbai....drugs,money laundering,fake passport rackets,nabbed by police , jailed, rescued by mafia connections, et al..
He even lives in the slums of Colaba, where he runs a small clinic..and makes a lot of friends and they give him the name Shantaram.....
This is not fiction...
